The Ruskin School of Art at the University of Oxford has developed a varied programme of short courses for summer 2019, taught by Ruskin tutors and alumni. Taught in small groups, and open to anyone, whatever their level of artistic experience, these intensive courses are based in the studios and workshops of the Ruskin, with visits to museums, private collections and gardens in the University of Oxford.
Sarah Simblet, acclaimed artist and author of the best-selling book Botany for the Artist (and co-author of The New Sylva) returns with her popular course Botanical Drawing: there are still a few places available.
Participants in Sarah’s course on experimental drawing, The Drawing Book also spend time working with plants, both in the studio and in nearby meadows and gardens.
More detailed information on the individual courses can be found on the Ruskin’s website.
