Inclusive Excellence: 2017 Undergraduate Science Education Grants

Contributed by cadams on Jun 12, 2015 - 03:28 PM

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute recently announced a new competition for science education grants to colleges and universities called "Inclusive Excellence: Engaging all students in science."

The goal of this initiative is to help institutions increase their capacity for inclusion to effectively engage and support the success all students in science throughout their undergraduate years, especially those who come to college via nontraditional pathways. The new competition will be open to US colleges and universities that award the baccalaureate degree in the natural sciences and are fully accredited, not-for-profit, four-year institutions. It will exclude the 40 universities awarded 2014 HHMI institutional grants.

You can learn more about the new Inclusive Excellence competition through the May press release (http://www.hhmi.org/news/hhmi-announces-60-million-science-education-initiative [5]) and find details on the program webpage at Inclusive Excellence 2017 (http://www.hhmi.org/InclusiveExcellence2017 [6]).
